A teenaged girl has died in Taranaki Base Hospital after suffering critical injuries in a car crash yesterday.
The girl was a back seat passenger in a Ford Falcon which rolled on Rotokare Road in Eltham, north of Hawera, shortly after 5.30pm.
Police said the girl was not believed to have been wearing a seatbelt and died later in the evening.
She was one of several teenagers in the car.
Inspector Paul Jermy said further details would be released once the girl's family had been contacted.
