A crash north of Ohakune has seriously injured two women and one 14-year-old girl.
Their car collided with another vehicle at the intersection of State Highway 4 and SH47 in the National Park township shortly after midday.
The male driver of the second vehicle received minor injuries.
Fire services had to cut the girl free of the wreckage and she was flown by helicopter to Waikato Hospital to be treated for facial injuries.
A second helicopter was called to transport one of the women, while the other was taken by ambulance.
Police communications Inspector Paul Jermy said it appeared two doctors had passed by shortly after the accident and stopped to help.
