A woman was seriously injured after a car went off the upper level of a two-storey car park in Christchurch.
Emergency services were called to the incident, at the Northlands Mall in Papanui about 7.15pm last night.
Few details were available this morning, as both police and ambulance staff were unsure how the crash occurred.
Southern communications ambulance team leader Paul Burns said two females were treated by staff.
One was taken to Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition.
Another woman managed to get out of the vehicle by herself, he said.
