A woman is dead following a collision between a truck and a car on State Highway 2 just south of Napier today.
The woman was the sole occupant of the car and died at the scene, a central police communications spokeswoman said.
The truck driver was not injured.
Diversions were in place, with vehicles travelling on SH2 diverted onto Waitangi Road south of the crash site, and Ellison Street onto Te Awa Avenue to the north.
