A person has suffered serious injuries after a ute struck a tree in Otama.
Police were alerted to the single-vehicle crash just after 2pm on Wednesday in Otama Rd, north of Gore.
The person was transported to Dunedin Hospital by helicopter with serious injuries, a Hato Hone St John spokesperson said.
Traffic management was organised following the crash and motorists told to expect delays, a police spokesperson said.
