Prime Minister John Key and his wife Bronagh are showcasing New Zealand with their royal wedding outfits.
Speaking just before leaving New Zealand House in London for Westminister Abbey, Mr Key said he was wearing a 100 percent New Zealand merino wool suit.
"I thought about wearing a morning coat but then I thought this was an opportunity to showcase a little bit of New Zealand," he said on TV One.
Mrs Key said her lace dress and silk coat were designed by Trelise Cooper.
"Trelise really came up with it," she said.
"She had a chat with me and I said I liked things reasonably classic. She did some research about royal weddings and tried to do classic with a modern edge, which I think she's done very nicely."
Mr Key said they were both excited.
"It's going to be a great day, there's a great sense of atmosphere, London is very much alive," he said.
After the wedding they will attend a reception at Buckingham Palace along with about 2000 other guests.
"The royal couple will be going around and saying a few words, hopefully it will be an opportunity to say hello," Mr Key said.
