This compilation of 12 traditional tales is just the thing for those wanting values-based Christmas stories.

It begins with Mary Joslin's retelling of the Nativity and ends with The Nutcracker, all of the stories delivering a strong moral message about faith, hope, generosity and acceptance of hardships.

It was interesting to read about the origins of each story in the final section. Ages 4-plus.
