An emergency water supply shutdown affected multiple properties on the outskirts of Alexandra, in Central Otago, after damage to a water main this morning.
The Central Otago District Council posted to social media saying the outage was caused by "third party damage" in Manuherikia Rd at 10am today.
At 12pm, it advised that water had been restored.
