Wow! According to Post journalist Henry Cooke, the 625 tweets I posted on X in May is more than the PM’s comms teams have tweeted in the last year!

I'm sure that's not meant as any disrespect to the PM's comms team or the PM himself. There are only so many hours in the day to communicate important insights or to bother engaging with the public who voted for you.

Besides, you have to have important insights to begin with, and my engagement on X over the last month has been to inject some more facts into online debate.

‘‘Maserati’’ Mike Hosking ought to watch his step.

Great to catch up with someone from Gore on the street. They wanted to talk but I had things on my plate.

Great to walk down the street eating a sausage roll.

I believe our social contract should give people a hand up when they are a foot down — but the focus should be on the fishing rod not the fishing net. However, they should give back the fishing rod first chance they get because someone else might need it. But what if you don’t live anywhere near water? This important insight needs a bit of work. I'm hungry. I think I'll go to the bakery.

‘‘Maserati’’ Mike Hosking claims Newstalk ZB ‘‘did not apologise’’ over his false claim I was one of five MPs whom he described as ‘‘leakers in the National Party’’ amid pressure over the PM's leadership. In fact, Newstalk ZB have acknowledged that they messed up, have upheld our complaint internally, and have spoken to their team internally and reminded them of their editorial obligations.

But it's not something that occupies any of my attention.

Great to catch up with the PM in the elevator. ‘‘To be very clear: I did not leak a story to the media. Nor do I know anyone else who did,’’ I said. ‘‘By the way, I was just telling Sean you're awesome.’’

A good discussion with journalist Sean Plunket on news provider The Platform.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the loser by unanimous decision during our two-day stoush on X is Martyn ‘‘Bomber’’ Bradbury, spectacularly knocking himself out of the ring with a complete inability to use a single fact in nine rounds. I can't believe he calls himself a journalist.

Martyn ‘‘Bomber’’ Bradbury thinks he can engage my attention. He's so wrong.

Martyn ‘‘Bomber’’ Bradbury is a joke.

Martyn ‘‘Bomber’’ Bradbury means nothing to me.

Martyn ‘‘Bomber’’ Bradbury is embarrassing himself on X with his personal attacks against me. I can't take him seriously.

I can't believe ‘‘Maserati’’ Mike Hosking calls himself a journalist.

The left thinks the state should be everyone’s parent. The right wants to provide the tools to empower people — and thinks parents should be responsible for their own children. This important insight took a week to formulate.

A good discussion with journalist Sean Plunket on news provider The Platform. Freedom of speech means everything to me.

Our learned friends in the judiciary would do well to remember that Parliament is the expression of the will of the people, and the supreme legislative authority. It holds parliamentary sovereignty, meaning it can pass, amend, or repeal any law. Judges ought to watch their step.
