Cromwell event committee members (from left) Paul Chisnal, Amanda Gatward-Ferguson, Terry Davis and David Gatward-Ferguson are making preparations for the upcoming 49th World Gold Panning Championships.

The event will be hosted at the Cromwell Racecourse from September 26. 

The premier international competition will bring together the world's finest gold panners and showcase Cromwell's rich gold mining heritage and legendary hospitality.
