Emergency services were alerted to a jet boat fire on Lake Roxburgh this evening.

The incident happened near Shingle Creek, shortly before 6pm.

A FENZ spokesman said the boat had been burned out but all persons were accounted for.

"People are OK but the boat caught fire and is now burnt out."

Two fire crews from Roxburgh and police remained on the scene until about 7pm.
