Central Otago Vintage Car Club member Graham Taylor, flanked by a Riley Elf, circa 1966 (left) and a 1972 Austin 1300, will be among those taking part in the club's Daffodil Day rally on Sunday.

The event, which is "open to anyone who wanted to come along", will leave from Arrowtown, Wanaka, Alexandra and Cromwell at 1.30pm.

Participants from each of those locations will meet at the Cromwell Vintage Car Club rooms, where there will be a car display, prizegiving and afternoon tea.

All across New Zealand, hundreds of cars will be on the road to raise funds for the Cancer Society.

Our journalists are your neighbours

We are the South's eyes and ears in crucial council meetings, at court hearings, on the sidelines of sporting events and on the frontline of breaking news.

As our region faces uncharted waters in the wake of a global pandemic, Otago Daily Times continues to bring you local stories that matter.

We employ local journalists and photographers to tell your stories, as other outlets cut local coverage in favour of stories told out of Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

You can help us continue to bring you local news you can trust by becoming a supporter.
