The main street of Ranfurly was bustling with activity during the Maniototo Markets at the weekend, proving the town's popularity when hosting festive occasions.

Radio Burn organised the festival for the first time and the event had the atmosphere of a ‘‘mini art deco festival'', station manager Amie Pont said.

‘‘I'm still buzzing.''

All 20 stalls sites were filled by sellers keen to benefit from Easter weekend patrons who dropped in on the markets outside the Ranfurly Railway Station on Saturday.

Proceeds would go towards a new generator for the Burn transmitter.
