Homes’ art therapy yields colourful results

Castlewood Home resident Maureen O'Hara showcases her work of art, which will be on display at the Alexandra Library during the Alexandra Thyme Festival.

Her creation, called ''Irises'', is one of 14 created by residents at Castlewood Home and Ranui as part of an art therapy programme.

Thyme festival committee member Bill Siddells came up with the concept, which was supported by art educator Maxine Williams and diversional therapists from each home.

The art works will be on display throughout the week.
