There were two new faces on the board - Rob Hazlett and Sue Evans.
Deputy chairman Stu Duncan has returned to the board, having served from 2004 to 2010, and is the region's representative on the Central Otago District Council.
Mr Harris has served two terms and Mrs Umbers has served four.

Other than choosing the chairman and deputy chairmen, the board's first decision of the term was to stop and dispose of a portion of road next to Derg St, in Naseby, to address a boundary anomaly.
