Central Otago’s Manuherikia River attracted people to its waters on New Year’s Day.

Among them were Harper Blayne, 9, of Dunedin, who cools off in the muggy weather as the river wends its way through Galloway, while happy campers Jaxon, 13, and Alexandra Black, 9, of Invercargill, take a break from chores at their families’ traditional riverside campsite.
