Jewellery reported stolen

A considerable amount of jewellery has been reported stolen in the burglary of a Palmerston house.

The burglary took place between 7.30pm on March 22 and 2.30pm on March 24, officer in charge of the Palmerston police, Senior Constable Stefan Witehira said.

A list of the ''numerous'' items reported stolen from the house was still being prepared and the total value was not known, he said.

Other items stolen included the contents of the deep freeze, a quantity of alcohol and a stereo, he said.
