Back by popular demand - Steam Junk.
About 60 creations "turning junk into funk" - which were shown at the Totara Estate Harvest Home festival on March 28 - have been on display in the Oamaru Opera House.
The exhibition, which finishes tomorrow, proved popular, Opera House sales and marketing manager Stu Dalton said.
The Steam Junk competition, which built on the reputation of Oamaru as the Steampunk capital of New Zealand, was organised by the Waitaki District Council.
It challenges people to create an artwork using only recyclable material or scrap.
Inspiration for the competition, apart from promoting a low-waste Waitaki district, was last year's successful Steampunk exhibition at the Forrester Gallery.
Council solid waste officer Gerry O'Neill said the Steam Junk competition created so much interest at the Totara festival it was decided to stage an exhibition "The response was amazing.
"A lot of people did not realise what could be created from junk and waste," he said.
