Kurow Golf Club will play host to nearly double its membership in its clubhouse this weekend.
The club, which has 90 financial members, with about 30 of those playing regularly, is celebrating its 75th anniversary, with nearly 150 people expected to attend, including three former members coming from Australia.
To cope, the club has put up on the course a marquee, which will be the venue for the weekend's major event, tonight's anniversary dinner.
Club president Bruce Nehoff is amazed at the response.
"It's far more than I expected - double the number," he said this week.
The club started planning a year ago for the anniversary, contacting former members then asking them to contact those they knew.
The celebrations began last night with a welcome, registration and social function.
Photographs will be taken today at 10.30am followed by the anniversary golf tournament starting at noon.
Not all those attending the anniversary wanted to play, which meant the nine-hole course could still cope with the increased number of players, he said.
The tournament will be followed by official speeches and the anniversary dinner.
The club has been playing on its present course since it was formed in 1935.
