The Rev Vance Vidal, of Mosgiel, has been appointed the part-time vicar for the East Otago Anglican churches from Warrington to Hampden, including Waikouaiti and Palmerston.
He will be inducted at St John's, Waikouaiti, on Thursday, December 17, at 7pm, St John's church spokeswoman Elizabeth Inglis said.
Rev Vidal will serve as an interim vicar for a year.
