A policeman was allegedly assaulted at a property in the northern end of Oamaru on Thursday afternoon.
Police were called to a domestic dispute at 4.20pm after an emergency call regarding a domestic dispute.
Constable Mark Haythorne, of Oamaru, said a man in his 40s was charged with breaching bail, breaching a protection order, resisting arrest and assaulting police.
The man appeared in the Timaru District Court yesterday, Const Haythorne said.
