The annual Waimate 50 GT Sprint Series has capacity fields, and the town of Waimate, will be full to capacity over Labour Day weekend.
This year, the Waimate 50 will again involve four motorsports events over two days.
The standing quarter-mile sprint down Queen St returns for a second year, alongside the traditional Waimate 50 street circuit time trial, hill climb and rally sprint.
Waimate 50 chairman Rob Aikman said more than 300 drivers, including some from the United States, the United Kingdom, and "a lot" from Australia, would take part this year.
Mr Aikman said it promised to be a "huge weekend" for the town, and added that a crowd of about 10,000 people was expected to treble Waimate's population.
"Everything is booked out, all the accommodation.
"People are going to Oamaru and Timaru because of the overflow," he said.
"We have got full entries for all four events; 65 for the hill climb, 90 for the standing quarter, 65 for the rally sprint, and 100 for the Waimate 50.
"We are full to capacity. Basically, that's as much as we can take."
