Three hurt in Macraes Flat crash

One person has been flown to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries and another two are also hurt after a crash at Macraes Flat in the Waitaki District.

A police spokeswoman said officers were alerted to the single-car crash on Macraes Back Rd, outside Macraes Mine, just before 6pm tonight, and a helicopter was called to the scene.

A St John spokesman said one person was flown to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries, and two people with moderate injuries were taken to the hospital by road.
