Four tourists escaped serious injury this morning after being involved in a car crash just outside Omarama.
The crash occurred on State Highway 8, just outside the Omarama township boundary.
Omarama Police constable Nayland Smith said one person suffered moderate injuries and three others walked away with just cuts and scrapes.
"Four people were in the car, four tourists. They just lost control basically, and didn't read the road right.''
Const Smith said speed was not a factor in the accident.
