Police have confirmed one person was killed when a motorcycle and a ute collided in Otago this morning.
Police said the crash on State Highway 85, between Morrisons and Kyeburn, was reported about 11.20am.
Police confirmed this afternoon one person had died and three others were injured.
A St John spokesman said one person had been flown by rescue helicopter to Dunedin Hospital in a serious condition. Two others, one with moderate injuries and one with minor injuries, were taken to hospital by road ambulance.
The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
Traffic management remains in place with diversions in place.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
