Alicia Adamson was named Supreme Climber with 212 points at the first Queenstown Youth Climbing Competition for the year on Sunday.
Christina Millar won the senior category and Fiona Seal took second place.
Alicia Adamson also won the intermediate category. Jacqueline Daniel was second.
Haley Adamson was first and Kiara Celli second in the junior category.
A total of 15 young climbers aged between 8 and 15 from around the Southern Lakes took part in the competition on the climbing wall of the Queenstown Events Centre.
Queenstown Climbing Club president Guillaume Charton said
$500 worth of prizes were given by sponsors Small Planet, R&R Sport, Paraflights, Petzl and the events centre.
''Every child left with a smile and without a doubt keen to keep climbing,'' Mr Charton said.
