A Queenstown man has been charged with assault and cannabis possession after allegedly headbutting a doorman outside a CBD bar early yesterday.
Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka said the 22-year-old became upset after being refused entry to another bar after earlier being ejected from the Vinyl Underground bar in Church St.
He then returned to Vinyl Underground and headbutted the doorman about 12.30am.
After being arrested and taken to the police station, he was allegedly found to be carrying a bag of cannabis. He will appear in court on Monday.
