Movie fans have another chance to watch the cream of Wakatipu film-making talent when the Queenstown Film Society presents its Short Film Night tonight.
The films will be shown in the Front Room Gallery, part of Fluid Design Studio on Memorial St.
Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 7.30pm.
Society president Tany Surrey said space was limited so interested spectators were asked to RSVP to frontroom@fluid.net.nz.
"It's a BYO event, so bring along a drop of vino and don't forget to bring a lawn chair. Seating is limited. Entry is by donation [and] all proceeds to Wakatipu Youth Trust."
Nine short films will be screened, directed by Daisy Thor-Poet, Scott Kennedy, Stefan Haworth, Themistocles Lambridis, Trey Ratcliff, Pete McInally, Gordon Laing, Peter Elliston and Tim Pierce.
The line-up includes Giving Back, a charming and witty story of a young girl's bicycle ride through the Wakatipu's adventure tourism and natural environment.
Go for Lunch! I Mean, Launch! is one Queenstown man's attempt to witness one of the final space shuttle launches in Florida, mixed with footage of the wildlife and "tasty snacks".
Queen's Drive describes a trek around the slopes of the Remarkables, unsuccessful in late winter because of the danger, and then a successful return in summer.
