Crowne Plaza Queenstown general manager Matt Anderson, front of house manager Guy Robinson, meetings director Amy Bohling and duty manager Claire Hitchin felt "stuffed", but "enormously gratified" to finish the Oxfam Trailwalker challenge, yesterday morning, Mr Anderson said.
The Crowne Rangers dressed in blue silk capes, pantaloons, Zorro mask face paint and cowboy hats. They were supported by assistant housekeeper Bronwyn Reid and front office attendant Anshu Naiker.
The rangers were among 1200 competitors, in 300 teams, who criss-crossed from Kinloch, early on Saturday. All teams were allowed seven pit-stops for food and drink on the way and were to arrive in Taupo.
Mr Anderson said the rangers were told they were one of the few full teams of four to finish.
"We all crossed the line together, which was fantastic, and to be totally honest, after the last 28 hours, pretty blooming emotional ... It was one of the most challenging things I've ever done in my life.
"Amy is one of Queenstown's fit people and took most of it in her stride, but even Amy, towards the last 20km, was suffering pretty badly."
Mr Anderson said the fundraising for Oxfam was not over.
"At the moment we're just over $3000 and our target's $4000."
