Fiordland businessman Bryan McChlery, who has won the PATA Young Tourism Professional Award at the 2009 Tourism Industry Awards.
A Fiordland entrepreneur who has developed and managed three Fiordland tourism businesses and plans to open a fourth was recognised at the 2009 Tourism Industry Awards (TIA) yesterday.

Bryan McChlery has won the PATA Young Tourism Professional Award for expanding and achieving strong sales growth and a five-star Qualmark rating at Te Anau Top 10 Holiday Park.

He has also developed new businesses - Top 10 Milford Sound Coach and Cruise business, rebranded Go Milford, a partnership in Driftaway Rental Campervans, and has plans to open a retail sightseeing shop in Te Anau.

Mr McChlery said he was a hands-on owner who was always willing to look at new ideas and to listen and learn from other successful individuals and businesses.
