The park along with 2700ha of land and several businesses of the Waiorau Station has been owned by the Lee family for the last 60 years.
"I want to see things go on here and become an international ski resort," owner John Lee told 3 News yesterday.
For the past 17 years, Mr Lee and his wife, Mary, have put their efforts into developing Snow Park as a nordic skiing operation.
It has since branched out to include summer-time activities and is used as a high-altitude training destination for athletes, and occasionally professional rugby teams.
Sam Lee has managed the operations at Snow Park for the past five years and the terrain park has become one of the southern hemisphere's foremost apline freestyhle skiing and snowboarding resorts.
It includes a 50-bed backpacker lodge and luxury apartments, along with a bar, restaurant and cafe.
During summer, the Snow Park becomes the Dirt Park and caters for mountain bikers.
