Tuesday
7.30pm: Wellington theatre company Bare Hunt Collective presents Munted, a touring "verbatim documentary theatre show" about the earthquake in Christchurch on February 22, 2011. Former Wakatipu High School pupil Jackie Shaw, with Victoria Abbott and Frith Horan, of Bare Hunt, embody 15 people caught up in the disaster on stage within the hour-long show. The play is performed in the drama room of the high school, accessed from Gorge Rd, on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Tickets $25, concessions $15, cash sales only on the door.
8.30pm: Le Plaisir (1952), Max Ophuls' lavish adaptation of three Guy de Maupassant stories, explores the distinctions between pleasure and happiness. The "neglected masterpiece" is presented by the Queenstown Film Society to its members with the support of the Embassy of France in Dorothy Brown's Cinema, Arrowtown. New members can join on the night.
