A 22-year old man will appear in Queenstown District court today after an alleged assault in the resort on Saturday morning when one victim was knocked unconscious.
Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka, of Queenstown, said the New Zealander faced two charges, injury with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and Crimes Act assault.
Another victim was also allegedly assaulted during the incident outside Devil Burger on Church Street at 12.30am.
It is the second vicious attack in the resort over the last two weekends.
Early last Friday, an Australian man had part of his ear bitten off, on Shotover Str.
Snr Sgt Enoka said Criminal Investigation Branch is managing the case and enquires are ongoing.
Police released a video on its Facebook page identifying two men whom officers want to talk to regarding the ear-biting assault.
"A 24-year-old man had part of his ear bitten off,'' the Facebook post read.
The post asks the two men to contact police, the public to help identify them, and Facebook users to share the post.
"If anyone knows who they are, please Facebook message us, or call us anonymously.''
