Queenstown's Body Sanctum has beaten off seven other nominees to win ‘New Zealand’s Best Day Spa 2025’ in the 11th annual World Spa Awards.

Queenstown’s first day spa, founded in 1999 by Judi Sneddon, it’s been owned since 2023 by local Lynne Burns.

The award was decided by clients’ votes.

"We’re incredibly proud of this achievement, it’s a real honour to be recognised on an international stage," says manager Dani Buxton, who attributes the result to "amazing staff, amazing therapists who really love what they do".

She estimates 60% to 70% of their clientele are visitors.

The rooms and reception area were all renovated early this year, she adds.
