About 700 customers lost power for a time in and around Queenstown tonight.
A PowerNet spokeswoman said the ''cable fault'' affected customers at Remarkables Park Shopping Centre, Shotover Country subdivision, the industrial area around Pak `n Save and Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge about 6pm.
The power was being restored to some customers about 8pm.
