The five-part series, being shot over 10 weeks at various locations in the Wakatipu at a cost of $6million, is again being produced by Queenstown resident Philip Smith and his company Great Southern Television.
It is expected to be screened late this year.
The first, six-part series, shot in late 2019, aired on TVNZ 1 in April and May last year, and became the highest-rated New Zealand drama over the past decade.
It is one of two high-profile television productions in the region at the moment, with Under The Vines also being shot across Central Otago and the Queenstown Lakes.
About 200 people are working on the two productions, as well as a few hundred local extras.
