Originally from Invercargill, Miss Roxburgh (27) joined the ODT in July 2006 after gaining her diploma in journalism at the Southern Institute of Technology in Invercargill in 2004 and working for the Southland Times.

Reporter Jude Gillies (52) has joined the ODT team at its Queenstown office, bolstering the ODT and Queenstown Times editorial staff to four.
Ms Gillies moved to Arrowtown at the end of last year after a short term in communications in Wellington and 15 years as a journalist at the Nelson Mail.
Before that, she enjoyed a career in parks management after graduating from Lincoln University.
Originally from Oamaru, where her parents still live, Ms Gillies has two daughters studying at the University of Otago.
