Art exhibition at Owaka Museum a hit

An exhibition by South Otago artists at the Owaka Museum has been well received.

Museum director Kaaren Mitcalfe said it was the most successful exhibition held at the museum, with more than 20 artworks sold.

She said the gallery was funded by the community originally to support local artists, as well as providing income to help keep the museum going.

The works are of South Otago wildlife and scenery.

Most of the pieces are circular.

The exhibition at the museum runs until July 1.
