Constable Brian McKinney, of Milton, said the woman was driving north when she lost control on the wet road and her vehicle slid into a ditch and crashed into a concrete culvert, forcing the car on to its side.
The car was extensively damaged and one lane on the busy road was briefly closed to traffic.
