Alongside her educational and board activities on several local schools and centres, Mrs Holden has been or remains active in other voluntary community groups. These include the former Blessed Box group, Milton Lions, and the Tokomairiro Toy Library. She said she was "honoured and surprised" to be nominated.
"I just enjoy what I do. I never feel busy, because the activities I take part in fill my basket."
She thanked Silver Fern Farms for her lamb leg, saying a traditional roast was her favourite way to enjoy the Kiwi specialty.
"There’s nothing like a traditional Sunday roast shared with family. Preferably not cooked by me!"
