Pets meet Santa

Clutha Vets staff member and reindeer Connie Waddingham, Kayley Strachan (11) and vet nurse and elf Sharron West join Santa Claus (Steve Butler) and dogs (from left) Poppy, Bailey and Skye to get their pets a photo with the big man in red last week.

About 40 families took their pets in to get a photo with Santa last Friday.

Ms West said the day was ``amazing''. Most of the dogs and other pets were well behaved and there were ``no dramas''.

She said people lined up with their pets at Clutha Vets in Balclutha before the 2pm start time.

``It sort of took off.''

She said the event was so successful they were thinking about running it again next year.
