Young women in Milton have complained to police about being followed by a man in the evenings in a central part of town.
Senior Sergeant Richard Whitmore, of Balclutha, said police had received three separate complaints about a man following groups of young women.
The latest complaint involved a group aged between 14 and 21 years, between 9pm and 11pm on Spencer St, on June 9, he said.
The man does not talk to the women, but follows them.
He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jacket, Canterbury-style trackpants and headphones.
No other details of the man were available but Snr Sgt Whitmore asked anyone with information to call police on (03) 418-0203.
