Balclutha hair salon owner Selena Aitken-Boyle is juggling running her own business and co-directing the South Otago Theatrical Society's latest production at nights and weekends.
Under the watch of experienced theatre director Hillary Norris, Mrs Aitken-Boyle has taken to the challenge like a duck to water.
They are directing Irish comedy Shenanigan's Wake.
Recently, Mrs Norris took two weeks off the job and left the running of the show in the hands of Mrs Aitken-Boyle.
When she returned, Mrs Aitken-Boyle said, she was pleased with how the show had "grown" during her absence.
A society member for the past 13 years, Mrs Aitken-Boyle has been involved both on stage and behind the scenes.
She first ventured into directing after being sent by the society to a directing course, and subsequently caught "the directing bug".
Shenanigan's Wake will be staged at the society's George St clubrooms.
Opening night is October 30 at 7.30pm.
There will also be theatre restaurant performances at 7pm on November 1 and November 5-8.
A 2pm matinee performance will be held on Sunday, November 2.
