South Otago Theatrical Society Jubilee Show director Robyn Gardner needs these costumes filled by school children for the chorus of the upcoming celebratory show. Not enough children have auditioned so far. Photo: Samuel White.
Auditions were held at the weekend for the 50th jubilee show which will be a celebration of the society's past 50 ''curtain calls''.
Mrs Gardner was surprised by the number of adults who turned up to be part of the show but was desperately calling for more young people to get involved.
''It would be nice if we could razzle up a few more kids for the kids' chorus.''
The show needed at least another 10 children aged 8 to 13 to fill up the chorus for renditions of popular songs from Annie, Oliver and The Sound of Music.
The children did not need to sing solo and could be part of a group.
Auditions for children will be held at the South Otago Theatrical Society Clubrooms in George St on Sunday, May 14 at 2pm.
