The Invercargill and Southland councils are set to review their local alcohol policies.
A joint committee, formed by councillors from both councils, will conduct the review.
The Invercargill City Council has nominated Crs Darren Ludlow, Toni Biddle, Alex Crackett and Karen Arnold, while the Southland District Council has nominated Crs Brian Dillon, Gavin MacPherson, George Harpur and Paul Duffy.
In the previous review, in 2016, the Gore District Council was part of the combined local alcohol policy, but it decided to undertake its own review last year.
A spokeswoman said the Gore council had made that decision because ''it would be easier and be more cost-effective to undertake in a shorter timeframe''.
She said the local alcohol policy from Gore would be as consistent as possible with other policies in Southland.
''It would allow a greater focus on Gore issues.''
