Emergency services have been called after a digger caught fire in Southland.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said they had received reports of a digger fire in Birchwood Rd, Ohai, about 4.10pm.
One crew from Ohai station attended and had the blaze contained.
They were working to dampen down the fire, the spokesman said.
