A person driving a stolen car crashed into a power pole after fleeing from police in Gore last night.
Police attempted pursue to the vehicle at about 10.25pm.
A police spokeswoman said police pursued the vehicle briefly after the driver failed to pull over, but abandoned the chase for safety reasons.
The car crashed into a power pole on Whiterig Rd soon after.
The driver was taken to hospital with moderate injuries, she said.
No charges had yet been laid and enquires were ongoing.
