A man who was hit by a vehicle in the Southland town of Riverton last weekend remains in Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries.
The man was walking along Palmerston St when he was hit while crossing the road outside Hammer Hardware around 2am on Saturday.
Police would not be drawn on whether it was a hit-and-run incident, saying enquiries were ongoing.
They said this afternoon they wanted to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time.
