Pair arrested over 'gun incident' in Invercargill

Two men have been arrested after a gun incident in Invercargill last night, police say.

A spokeswoman said officers carried out two warrants at Lorn St in Glengarry, about 5pm yesterday, as part of an ongoing investigation.

A 21-year-old man and 35-year-old man were arrested.

They would appear at Invercargill District Court this week facing firearms charges.

No further details of the incident were given.
