The Civil Aviation Authority is waiting for a report from the operator of an aircraft which had to make an emergency landing at Wanaka Airport last month.
The plane lost one of its three wheels during a flight from Twizel and the pilot and two passengers were uninjured as it skidded along the runway.
The Piper PA-28-140 Cherokee belonged to Classic Flights Ltd.
CAA manager communications and safety promotion Mike Richards said on Thursday an investigator had been appointed and was waiting for a report from an internal investigation being carried out by the operator.
"There is no immediate safety concern about the aircraft manufacturer or aircraft type involved in this incident."
